But what logical reason do you have for this belief in a soul?
Much like my complete belief in God, teh divinity of Christ and the wonders of his teachings: I can feel it in my being, and can see it in the way I lead my life, and how I'm influenced to make the decisions that I do.
I don't need to do philosophical windbaggery to explain myself.

In other words, a leap of faith, in the truest sense of the phrase (Kierkegaard explained that an authentic christian faith was possible only through a leap of faith into the absurd, and it was this life-altering event that formed the core of a christian's being. Interestingly enough, God and the absurd are inseperable in his thought).
That 'philosophical windbaggery' is man's attempt at finding his truth.

Needless to say, you must admit, religious faith is unreasonable in a world that would seem to not permit a God in the bigger picture of things.
I could possibly see myself believing in a God (possible, but not likely). However, to tether oneself down to the teachings of some Jewish guy who lived thousands of years ago would be too much for me...
